Spare/seasonal prop????

2014 619 w/Merc 200 Pro XS

I'm running a 24 Fury with cup that was added. My neighbor gave me a 27 Tempest Plus prop that is to big for this motor/boat combo so i want to try and make an even trade for smaller prop, 25......not knowing the differences which would be better, a 25 Fury or 25 Tempest??? Hoping it will be a good clean prop and will send off to get cup or whatever is needed and use as need and kept in boat for spare......I'm leaning towards the 25 Fury....i do think i can run this prop (25) as i carry a light load and can pretty much hit the max R's with the 24 since i added the cup.

So what do the Phoenix Prop Pro's say??

They will say test a bunch of props till you get out of it what you want to get out of it. I have a g2 and was told (wrongly) that a 28 was the right pitch. put a raker 26 on it have about 250 rpms left and the boat hits 75 that's 5mph faster than the 28. I have a 25 pitch that I am trying now that the weather is cooling down. lets see here fly.

Can’t compare recently, but ran my 200 with a 25 pitch Tempest and a 24 pitch Trophy Plus spare for years. You should be able to turn that 25 easy.

A 25 tempest is about the same as a 24 fury. I have my 25 fury sitting in the garage if you want to try it. It's not in tip top shape bit still runs good. I've been tossing around the idea of selling it. You can try before you buy if you want.
