    Portable AGM charger?

Anyone have a suggestion for a decent quality portable battery charger that will work well on agm batteries? Just looking for something good for the price, not looking to spend a ton.

AGM batteries all have different requirements, so there is no charger suitable for all of them. You need to specify exactly which battery you are interested in.

You could buy a single bank MK PC charger, or a DP Sportmen's Series, and mount it on a board with a handle for portability. Make a harness that you can plug in. They are both good chargers, as I would not want to charge an AGM with a poor quality unit.

http://www.eastpenn-deka.com/assets/base/0139.pdf page 11 gives the charging voltages to look for. Most onboard chargers will work, but most portable charger manufacturers don’t publish charging voltages so you’ll need to contact companies to find out.

FWIW, I've been charging a Cabelas group 24 and group 27 AGM batteries with a Minn Kota 10amp portable charger for 7-8 years without issue.
