2006 mercury 150 optimax thermostat housing

I was planning to replace the thermostat on my 2006 150 optic when I noticed that a bolt was broken off the thermostat housing. Any recommendations on removing the bolt? I’ve included a picture of the t-stat housing starboard side with the broken bolt.

If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the REQUIRED info when posting. Thanks!

Remove the other bolt, remove thermostat cover, use vise-grips or pliers to extract remainder of broken bolt (it appears to be easily grabbed once cover is removed).
