Ramps on Jordan and Shearon Harris Lakes

Our club will be fishing both of these lake in 2019. Jordan on April 20th, 2019 and Harris on August 3rd, 2019. We will be coming from Martinsville Va. area, what would be the ramps we would need to launch at for both lakes?

For Jordan we use Poe's Ridge down by the dam because otherwise you have buy a $30 permit for the others.

Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp on Jordan and either Cross Point Landing or Holleman's Crossing Wildlife Ramps on Shearon Harris. All of these are NC Wildlife Commission ramps and you will need a permit to have your tournaments on these. You can apply for your permits by calling the Wildlife Comm. at 919-707-0269. Permits are free. You may want to keep an eye on the larger area tournaments that host a lot of boats and make sure they are not fishing the ramp you want to use on a particular day..it can cause some parking problems.

One guy in our clb has fished Jordan once before and he suggested Seaforth. The rest of us have never been there.

Seaforth doesnt open until 8AM. Poes, Farrington, Robeson Creek and Ebenezer all have 24 hour access, everything else is 8AM. Ebenezer is a state park, they collect some kind of fee for tournaments I have been told.

We are now looking at Ebenezer, do we have to get a permit to have a club tournament there?

Think so, yes. It's free. Wildlife Comm. 919-707-0269. You need the L1 permit

The Wildlife permit is only valid at their ramps (Farrington only at Jordan), Ebenezer is a state park so they operate under a different system. Call them at
919-362-0586 and they will set you straight. Everyone says a permit is required and ranger warned a club I used to fish when he drove by, yet they dont make things real clear to the public on the topic of tournaments.
