    200 HPDI Question

Just bought this boat from a friend. 98 200hp Yammy HPDI and motor runs good. But it needs a prop. What size is recommended. I have an older M25 in shop being reworked. Will this prop get me out of the hole quickly or should I look at others.

    Thanks

The M25 is irrelevant. M means very little. Almost nothing. The 25 is somewhat meaningful but without "the rest of the story" it does not mean a whole lot.

The model of the propeller, the diameter of the propeller, the pitch of the propeller blades and the weight of the boat all need to be taken into consideration.

What is your WOT RPM with the boat loaded and with the engine trimmed up only to the point of most efficiency and no further?

Test what you have. Maybe compare it to performance bulletin data to see if you are close or not. The propeller you have could be spot on or it could be a dog. Only way to tell is to test.

If you could find a 25 t1 that would probably be perfect. But, like others said, only way to know is to test.

    If it's a 98' it's not an HPDI

You are correct. The boat is 98. Motor is 2003
