    1988 stratos 201

I picked up a 1988 stratos 201 from a friend after it just sitting for 7-8 years. I redone the carbs, replaced all gas lines, removed vro pump, new starter, new impeller, and rebuilt the transom. It has a 1988 xp 150 on it with a 14.5x22 raker prop on a 6 inch jackplate. The prop is 3.5 inches below the pad. I know this boat is underpowered with the 150 but it’s like a tank to get on plane and the speedo shows 55mph but it’s only turning 5200 rpms. What prop should I try out to get my rpms up closer to 5800 and a little more speed. I’m coming out of a skeeter zx202 with a Yamaha 225 so I know I will never get that performance with this motor but I would like a little more pep. Thanks

I had the exact same rig years ago and I found a Michigan Wheel 3 Blade 22P that worked great. It was before GPS so I don't know what the speed was but I could get it up pretty easy and run 5700-5800 rpm. My prop would be similar to what your using but yours may be worn out and in need of a refurb. It's likely you are very water logged as well since it sat so long, likely outside.
