    Need Waypoint Conversion Help - Lowrance to Garmin

    I know this has been covered many times (I think I have read them all) but I am having challenges and need a voice of reason before loosing my mind...

    Lowrance HDS GEN3 .usr files - trying to get to my new Garmin 7612s/1222s. I have used Bable and GPS Visualizer to no avail. I have read the error report "help" with no luck which say my usr file is not version 4 or 5.... I cannot figure this one out and need a SmartGuy/SmartGal to explain it like I am 4-year old.... please.

    I assume using Babble that the outgoing is USR and the conversion file will be GPX. Can anyone please shed some light please?

    Easiest thing to do is export your user file in GPX format directly out of your Lowrance. Then, your GPX will dump straight into your Garmin.

    Thank you. Looks like I'll need to track some one down with a Lowrance - I have sold all of mine. Thanks again for your help.
