Since the Faststrike blew up I've been looking at new motors and I found a 2007 Etec 200HO that hit a rock and took the whole bottom end off at the exhaust housing. I have a new exhaust housing and lower unit lined up but I'm wondering what the odds are that the crankshaft and rest of the powerhead are still good? I talked to the shop and they said as best they can tell it's fine but it's hard to tell until you put it all back together and try running it. Do any of you guys have experience with this happening? I'm hoping the drive shaft has enough play in it that it would just bend before doing damage to the crankshaft.
