    heron in flight

    Caught this bird flying across Lake Barkley yesterday when the fish were not biting.
    Nikon D7200, 70-200 2.8 with a 2X tele.

    Our neighborhood blue heron is named Big Bird. He likes to stand on the back of my pontoon boat (in a boat house) looking for fish trolling by. And his talons have torn up my rear lounge bed causing me to file an insurance.claim.

    The game warden said to get rid of him--by shotgun.
