    Tatula elite 6’9 Andy Montgomery rod

    Anyone have any experience with this rod? Pros and cons?

    Love it. Light & sensitive. Perfect action. Not the prettiest and clearly a mass produced rod, but I’m more than happy and will buy more in the Elite line. I tried the Thrift rod also, I like the Daiwa better.

    I got to give it a work out this evening. I was able to skip decently with the Tatula SV and Elite 6'9". I've tried before with other combinations and sucked at it. The rod also wrenched a 3lber from under a shore station. All around sweet set up! The reel is SUPER forgiving and perfect for a rookie skipper. LOL

    I'm 6'4" and normally throw rods 7'3" to 7'8" in length. It seemed easy to control for skipping.
