I had to repair the trim switch wiring so I removed the handle and the throttle only button, and all went good till last night when I tried to go into gear forward and reverse and it only revs up. ive read that I should of had the shifter all the way forward when removing handle and didn't. what needs to be done to fix my screw up

last night what I did notice is the throttle only button was stuck and not pushing in and out. so I looked at the old one I took out and a piece of the button is missing so I wonder if its wedged in the control to keep it on throttle only its like the throttle only button is on all the time

and what happens if the throttle only button is removed w/o the lever being forward

end of stem breaks off usually complete disassembly of control box required if you don't have a manual on this box I wouldn't recommend this procedure unless you can retrieve all of stem, I hate um and would replace it complete rather than try to repair cheaper in long run good luck j hope all works out well

on the end of the throttle only button there is 4 tabs and 2 are missing in action, and the arer the button butts out to will barley move in and out. before I removed the button and lever was removed all worked fine

so got it removed and disassembled and the single roller that sits in the shift gear and throttle shaft assembly had fallen out and was under that assembly and the detent springs had come out also. I looked at the gears,teeth etc no missing pieces and no metal shavings anywhere. why did this happen? and the roller it goes into the assy there is 3 groves to choose from should it go in the middle grove?

Got it fixed everything is working fine for now, breaks again it’s going bye bye, then get a good one

probably get a 4000 next year, but hope this gets me buy for the rest of the season
