    O-ring in fill tube

There is a red-colored O-ring sitting down in the fill tube. Any idea as to what it is or where it goes?

Just guessing. Might it be there to prevent blow-back of the fuel when filling up?

Maybe it belongs on the cap? I’ll have to check and see.

Iam just guessing, but is the the hose leaving the fill port. Then going down the the tank. Looks to be out of line slightly. So the hose is bulging on one side.

Its the metal fill neck. On mine the metal neck goes from up top all the way into the tank. There’s no hose on the neck.

Ok so the fill neck is actually part of the tank.
In that case, I’d say you have a Oops. And find a way to fish it out. Most put a pain trying to fill.

I used an extra long booger picker and got it out. No clue where it came from.
