I mean do I have to worry about it shortning the longevity of the life of my motor. Do I have to cross my fingers every time I turn the key or make a 100+ mile run

No. My 200 sho has been flashed since I had 8 hours on it. I now have 437. Never put a wrench on it outside of maintenance. I’ve made many 1 hour runs and even a few that were close to 2 hours wide open. No issues what so ever. I just put premium gas in it and let it eat.

Did you have the limiter raised on yours?

Yes but I’ve propped my motor to run at 6000 rpms and have never run it over 6200.

If the HP is increased via an ECU change then the reliability might not change but the engine life might.

But there are so many variables involved that it is all but impossible to forecast how much of a lesser life there might be. And the lesser life might be inconsequential in the scheme of things.

We been doing this for over 10 years and never seen an issue
