Electronics help Lowrance HDS gen 3

I have a new HDS 12 & 9 Gen 3 with total scan and network and can't get anything but info from the transducer on the bow. Its not seeing the total scan. I had a few suggest some items but nothing. Is there anyone available around north GA (Lanier) that could help... Happy to pay! I'm very challenged at this stuff :(

Have you tried to set the transducer up manually?

On the front unit go to the home screen> select settings> select sonar> select installation> select transducer> select your transducer> hit save.

If this doesn't work check to see if your software is up to date. Update if needed and try again.

Have you posted this on the Lowrance sonar forum here?

    Home screen> settings> system> about

This will tell you what version you have.

I'm not sure what the latest version is but Fishing Coullin in Lowrance forum can tell you.

One of the guys in my club, after buying all new units took some sort of class. He met the guy up on Lanier and he taught him everything from initial setup to fine tuning. If I remember correctly, I think he said it was part of the Ken Sturdivant class options. I think his website/business is called Southern Fishing Schools.

I might have some availability on Sunday late morning and afternoon this weekend to hit Lanier with you.

Ok so I finely got this straight thanks to a local guide (James LJ Harmon). Took quite a bit of programming and setup but now its up to me. Shout out to LJ Guiding on Lanier!!! Was a great guy, very knowledgeable. Thanks for all the guidance from this crew as well!
