I did it to mine when I refurbished it. Cleaned all the old fluid out and put in new. You've already opened the system so moisture has had a chance to introduce itself so I would blow them out and start with fresh.
Flushing the brake lines with new fluid is a much better option and should be done every few years. Brake fluid is cheap.
