    Another carpet question

Anyone ever not put carpet back on a boat deck? The more I clean the glue off the more it shines and looks great. What would be a problem with no carpet?

I have not ever done that but I would expect it may be fairly slippery especially when a little wet. Also in the summer sun the surface may get very hot depending on color. So you may not want to kneel on it or maybe even not stand on it for a long period fishing.

You can always try for a while and if you don't like it without carpet then add it later, even if that's six months.

I would also think it would be quite slick, if you wax it your gonna make it really slick and if you don’t it’s going to fade, just a thought.

It's way too slick. Carpet's mostly missing on my front deck (about to recarpet) and if there's any moisture on the deck at all it's an accident waiting to happen. Now if it were textured like a salt boat then you'd be fine.
