I'm not an expert, but that seems slow. I did calculations based on 5850RPM' s and your over 20 percent slip.

You are correct. I had a 21X and that thing would run upper 70's. 25P Tempest seems light on pitch.

2016 TRX 20 Patriot:With break-in over and about 25hrs on the engine but handicaped by the 250 lb. driver she rose up on a slight breeze down wind and hit 76.8, my best so far and I'm thrilled with that since she handles it like a piece of cake compared to my old 20 HP. It's not always about speed in perfect conditions, it's how will she handle the imperfect conditons and this boat exceeds my greatest expectations. Last year I lost a tourney on Champlain because I couldn't get to my spots......that won't happen again!!!! TY Triton.

I have a 2015 trx 189. 150 mercury four stroke. I just put a 23 tempest plus on it and hit a new record 60.2 mph at 5900 rpm. Up from 57mph with a 21p tempest plus at just over 6000 rpm.

It has a 6 inch manual jack plate, but not sure what the ptp measurement is. It's set wherever the previous owner had it. Also has 2 8 foot power poles and was loaded fairly heavy with half a tank of gas and just me in it (175lbs)

i feel like there is more in it. Holeshot is still great and maybe better than with the 21p prop. I'm going to send the prop to mark for a little work and see if i can get to 62-63 with a hydraulic 8 inch plate.

Best I've done this winter, according to GPS, is 59.4. Losing a little speed since I've been keeping the fuel tank full.

What kind of prop do you have and what are your RPMs? Also what's prop to pad height? I have 2017 trx19 with 200HP Optimax and top speed is 66 mph and trying to get a little more speed...
