    Last Year of iClass

Just a general question. What year did they quit making the iClass? And why in the world did they stop producing them? I use to to buy boats every two or three years but when I bought my iClass in 2008 I quit caring about what else was out there. I had a couple of problems with the HPDI 250 but nothing earth shattering. I've had back surgery as well as both shoulders replaced (don't get behind me at the TSA line at the airport) and it's the best riding boat I've ever rode in. I've had folks inquire about buying it but it would be like getting rid of one of my family members.

I had a 2008 I-class and it was hands down the best riding boat I have ever owned.

that is the most troubling part of thinking about getting rid of my 21i. we took it out this weekend and it is just a crazy smooth and fast (75.3) but I can truly drive w/ 1 hand and no chine. there are very few out there who can boast of such performance. I agree, and if the time comes, will sorely miss my I girl.

My 09 is sweet just don't know why they put a 225 HPDI on her although its a 2013 Powerhead as Dean used the heck out of it and it won the Oneida tourney for him.

I have a 2015 FXi 21" and I do believe that is the last year they put out a boat with the I class hull. I fish the Michigan BFL's in big water and Okeechobee in January and the boat is great in rough water .

I’ll never understand why the stopped making that hull - I loved my 2010 20i. I will say that this Phoenix is every bit as good though, more nimble and faster in the 1-2’ chop.

The PHX and Pro XP are on par price wise with the FX and the 721 is on par with the ZX line. For pure value I think it’s really tough to beat the package ZX or 721. I looked hard at a ZX but test drove it and the 721 - the 721 is a much better rough water hull. I ended up buying a leftover PHX in December for just slightly more than a 721.

I love my 2006 21i with 300HPDI! If anything, I'll change the motor to a SHO in the future before selling it. I can run 76.3 with one hand on the wheel and no chine at all.

Two flagship models. They introduced the FX and it didnt make sense to have two top tier models. They made the FX21i for a couple years which was the updated FX top cap modified to fit on the i-class hull. They only made this model because of customer backlash for discontinuing the i-class hull. They discontinued the FX21i because of low sales, again most likely because of two top tier models competing against each other.
