    Seat pedestal stuck.

The rear deck seat pedestal is stuck in the base any trick to get it out? I can’t even twist it.

Good luck. You may want to search the threads. Unfortunately this is a common problem

Had the same problem with my 202... i used alil wd40 or PB blaster around the base of the pedestal, let it soak in for a few and then take a big pipe wrench and start twisting the pedestal back and forth

If you can get it to move with a strap wrench, that is the damage free solution. If you have to resort to a pipe wrench, I'd use the longest one you can get your hands on and wrap a couple of layers of duct tape around it to try & protect as much as possible. The PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench may help. I'm not a WD-40 fan. Once you get it out, get you a flap sander. I use a DeWalt DAFE1F1810, 2"x1" 180 grit and work the insert over for a free (not loose or sloppy) fit. Use some steel wool or Scotch Brite to polish the bottom of the pedestal and remove any crud that might be there. I also use Liquid Wrench Dry Lube on both the base and pedestal.

    Good Luck!

Now, don't leave it in when you get off water. If you take them out after every trip, you won't have any issues.

Hope you didn't really gouge it up removing it, they are no longer available. Use the flap sander I referenced above and you can releave the insert enough to really help with removal in the future.

I sanded the paint off the base of the post and disabled the latch. I always leave my seats in, and when I want them out they come right out. The paint grips the plastic in the holes.
