Because they had a production problem, so there is a huge shortage. They won’t be available until maybe Feb 2019. At least that’s what I was told by multiple sources.

February? I'm never going to get back out on the water. Ugh.

I think it’s only certain models of the Mercury. 150proxs. I believe the 115 & 200’s Are available.
    Yami’s are another story

Makes one wonder if Yamaha is working on a DFI 4 stroke like their XTO off shore. I was surprised to learn their SHO and Merc's new four strokes are all EFI.

The 200's are behind too. Shipments are sporadic.

Wow, I had not heard that. Makes feel even better that my dealer, Complete Marine secured my 150 ProXS early in my order. I got very lucky. Hoping by the end of the month I can take possession and start fishing again . I would have preferred the Yami 150 SHO but was not willing to wait until Feb to order the boat.

I got very lucky with my order in July. My dealer was able to get me a 150 ProXS for my 1980. Picking it up on Saturday.
