Question ZX hull- FX hull Are they the same?

Ok, so I've researched this topic and can't seem to find a straight answer. Are these hulls the same? It's looks like the older models there was a difference, but now they are the same???? I'm looking at a ZX250. I know the length is the same as the FX21 but is the hull the same?

No, In 2017 Skeeter tweaked the FX hull, and they did not change the Zx hull.

I rode in a 2017 FX21 but I can't really tell the difference in the ride to my ZX250.

At that point the ZX hull may have already been the unmodified FX hull. When I bought my 17 Phoenix the dealer, also a Skeeter dealer, told me the hulls were the same for 17.

Then 15 and 16 Zx and Fx hulls are different. In which those are as well.

Had the exact same question, so I emailed Skeeter. Here is the answer:

The zx and fx hulls are the same hulls just different layout and features on the boats. The hulls are built the same.

Thanks and have a good day!

There is a difference in the zx250/FX21. The FX 21 has a slightly deeper V but the difference is minimal. This is direct from Skeeter.

You mean to tell me that I paid 20k more for the same boat just for a better cooler lid and fancy gauges? Man I’m going to find a rope!

When touring the factory a couple years back, I can say for a fact, that both boats come from the same mould. The workers in the plant will tell you that, the engineers in the plant will tell you that, and you can see if for yourself. There is NO difference in the FX and ZX in the hull. If you don't beleive that, drive to Kilgore and take a plant tour. In the very back corner where the boats are coming out of the mould, you will see with your own eyes that both boats are coming out of the same mould. Hope this helps.

Tough choice between the two right here I'd think. Especially considering the $$$ difference for what you get. Both awesome fishing machines with the trolling motor down.

This was true up till 2017. There are separate molds now.

Seperate mold but still the same hull? I’m sure they several molds or they would never keep up with demand.

I love this question! Always gets the same response. ZX owners state it’s same hull and FX owners claims it’s not.

There is a slight difference between the hulls but they are very minimal. The fx is slightly a deeper v that’s basically it. But to the average retail customer they cannot tell a difference they run the same speeds.
