Have you tried setting different frequencies for each? Where are these installed, bow? transom?

Either turning off the transducer transmission or changing frequencies will be the only thing to do, otherwise if they are at the same area, operating and on the same frequency nothing you can do......for side imaging, Lowrance only does 455, the mega goes higher than that so that could help....

Different frequencies should do it. If they are both chirping make sure the ranges dont overlap
I tried to run a bird and a hds also. I’m gonna guess the eradic bottom reading depth reading is on the hummingbird! If I am right it has nothing to do with running both units. Humminbird has major firm ware issues. You can read more about it on Humminbird forum. They keep promising a “fix”. However I got tired of waiting. Good luck
