    Wow!

    I am very cautious about approaching a downed animal...deer, hog, or otherwise. Certainly would not walk up to a bear or other dangerous game without being 1000% sure it was dead.

    Was not there but I always throw stuff at them first and always ready for another arrow. Hunt a lot of bears in Va and have had them basically run over us and have had one claw a friends butt. They can be unpredictable when startled. Usually run away but toss injury, startled animal and cubs in and you better be cautious. Cant wait to here the details. I carry when tracking them as well. I always get nervous when tracking or when the start popping their jaws.
