    I went over the pros and cons for the RT198 and the PT18. the one pro for the Ranger was the pad. but over all beside the ride and speed the PT had more pros. 33 gal livewell, three full size rod lockers, and thicker aluminum. I don't regret my decision.

    Did you ever get a straight answer on the problem, seems like it was not an isolated issue? Perhaps they tweaked the design and got it right... At any rate that is good news!

    On the porpoising issue on the pt's. I was told in the pre 2018 models it had to do with transom angle. They changed it for 2018 and newer. And anyone who had the problem with the older model creastliner fixed or replaced the boat.
