    What Carpet to use

Have a 21 year old triton, carpet is in decent shape. Fished off a buddies new triton and it had the padding under the carpet.
Who makes this new wonderful beast? I want it lol.....
My decks are like standing on plywood all day, sure would be a nice addition.

If you are going to carpet your boat, do yourself a favor and pick up a $ 20.00 Wahl hair clipper to trim around the lids. This was one of the best tips I learned at BBC.

Elaborate... Po had put carpet in my 94 swift...
Many lid edges have already came loose.
I'd like to know a better way to secure them correct.

For the lids use landau weldwood contact cement. Waterproof and also when doing lids is best to cut on angle and not place corner seams on ends as it can work loose from tight corners on deck of carpet

I have an 89 Skeeter SF175, I’m stripping my carpet now. Is this just padding or is it a combo carpet and pad. I wanted to go with the original carpet from Skeeter, but am open for other options as well. Just as long as it has a good fill to it. What is the cost Of this padding?

Just the pad. You glue the carpet down over top of it.

use 20 oz marine carpet with 1/4" padding, you won't have to dick around with stupid clippers. I've added padding to 50+ bass boats, 20 is perfect, 24 is stupid.
