any 1989-1992 tracker t17 owners?

A buddy is trying to sell me a little tracker. I went and looked at it yesterday. After seeing pics online it has to be between 1989 and 1992 year. it has a little 50 horse evinrude that fires right up but has no water coming out the pee stream. (i think its just a mud dobber nest.) He bought it last summer from a guy at his church who is an overseas contractor. Had been in the guys shed for 2 year prior. He wants 300 which is what he paid and i think its worth it. When I went to look at it though it just seems narrow like it would be real tippy. Any advice on this boat would be great!

I had a 93 TX-17 years ago. It was a pretty good boat but wasn't worth a crap in rough water. It had a 60hp Johnson on it.

I had one in early 90's with a 40 hp on it and fished the local river. I loved it because it sipped the gas and needed little upkeep. I caught the biggest bass of my life out that Tracker a 10lb 6 oz on Rayburn one fall on a rogue topwater. The price is right even if you need to do a few things to it. The key is where you plan to fish? Not for big choppy water. Hope this helps.
