    Black Lake

Anyone been fishing this lake lately? I'm heading up in a couple of weeks and just wanted to know how the fishing has been. I have fished it quite a bit over the years but mostly in June, I only have one trip in fall and that was probably about 7 years ago. Just trying to get an idea of what to expect. I heard it's like pea soup right now hopefully that clears before we get there. Thanks Rod.

We're going back up in 2 weeks. Our mid August trip was kinda slow.

We've been going to Westport Ontario and staying on Wolfe Lake for 35 years but this year was our last for Canada. Son stayed on Black Lake last year and liked it fine. I'm contacting them soon with questions about when school starts in September and how much for an additional boat at our doc. Looks like 20 Cottage rentals on the lake, so finding a place shouldn't be a problem.

Headed up tomorrow morning, we'll see how the lake is fishing. Water temp was 79 in August, hopefully the fishing will be better.

Man, this lake is tough. Water temp was 64 on Friday down to 62 today. We have maybe 20 fish between 3 of us. Not any better than when we were up in mid August.
