    Alumacraft 205 Competitor sport

Saw one of these at the ramp and it was sweet. Anyone running one?

Yes, running a 2017, with a Suzy 250 and 9.9. Built a custom rear deck extension that gets praise... What questions do you have?

I'll post some pics of my rear deck with the extension.. Unbelievable muskie rig.. been to St. Clair, Superior, and handle waves wonderfully..

    Ask away.. Good luck,

I went from a ranger 1880 angler to a 205 sport with 250 sho. The ride is softer, quieter, more efficient at cruise, and much faster. Of course I have an extra 100hp on my 205 but so far I've been impressed with the whole package. Both boats cost within 1k of each other.

Per my earlier post.. I added to my back deck to allow more storage as well. This boat is an incredible fishing platform with and without the back deck dropped in. The back deck drops in and mount with a couple of thumbscrew bolts. The blind nuts are hidden with black covers when the deck is out. I had my spare tire cover airbrushed with a muskie image.. Feel free to ask any questions.

The steps are awesome. It sure beats climbing over the bow like I did with the Champion Fishunter. Just back in, park, walk up, step on, back off the trailer. Reverse order to pull out. Well worth the trailer upgrade.

Excellent work on the deck insert!! It looks factory. What did you use for lids and the vertical wall?

Epoxy encapsulated marine plywood, then carpeted. 1/2" on the front. 3/4" for the lids so to match the aluminum edges of the existing sides.

Very nice. This rig has my attention. Can you get it double bubble? I know a lot of people love the full screen but I don’t lol

I want to say yes. I'm pretty sure the one I saw at McCormick place boat show was a double bubble.

What size angle did you use for the frame? I have the same boat with the factory flip seats. But I want to build myself a removable deck like yours.

I used 1 1/2” x 1/4” . Bought from WW Grainger. Since I have a store near me, I ordered it on the website and picked up the next day.

Good luck and and feel free to ask any other questions.
