I have one and is my go-to gun. I rebarreled a Reminton 600 since I had one sitting in the back of the safe. I use just basic 200gr Hornady Interlocks bullets. I reload and rarely push the envelope with regard to pressures. I get 2600fps out of them. I have quite a few deer and two cow elk with it. I really have no complaints. Recoil is even mild and my rifle is only 6 pounds with scope and all.

Have a friend down in south Texas who bought one for his boy to shoot. Kid has taken everything up to nilgai with it. Great round, and on the short list for my next rifle.

I think it came out around 2006 and kinda never gained traction. Recently, savage and a couple of other gun makers have chambered rifles for it. Supposed to have slightly more energy than the 7mm rem mag with less recoil and in a short action Rifle.Originally Posted by tdt91
