    Chickamauga

Coming up from Atlanta to fish the Chick this weekend. Question for the BBC Chickamauga locals, tournament winning bags are coming out of the shallow Grass? Or are the fish still out on the ledges?

    Any advice would truely appreciated!

There are some out. Majority of what’s going on now is grass related especially if you fish the northern end.

So far, It’s tough fishing! Can’t find any over 2lbs...where are the BIGS?

Fished a ton of grass and fished the ledges (only small fish). Grass fish are few and far between. We have to be missing something.... :(

A guy pointed something out on one of the sites recently.

Nearly every day, there are a dozen or so pictures of great fish being caught on the Chick.

At the same time, there are up to 1,000 boats fishing that lake every day. 1000 boats may be high, but the fact remains that most of those talented fishermen are not catching large stringers on some days.

Yes, the parking lots are mostly full at most of the ramps on most days. Lots of fishing pressure on Chick.

Try some bluff walls or current breaks?

Septemver is a tough time to fish anywhere. The fish are constantly moving right now early in the mornings and late evenings are your best bet for successful. Once the sun comes out either find shade or deeper grass lines or deeper structure
