Mad-swirl design (on reel seats, grips, etc) is named after my daughter Maddie. Have about 30 seats about to head to mud hole.
I like the aero, non-comfort finish. If you go with the comfort finish, it'll eventually rub off. Also, try the aero up-locking. The way I hold a spinning reel, I like it better in the up-locking orientation.
2nd favorite grip - split tn handle

I've been using these for years and really like them. You get so much contact with the blank, they are lightweight and they are still very comfortable to hold all day. Only downside is you really have to focus on your epoxy job. I've had a couple come loose on me (but in no way am I a professional).
I like the plain old DPSM's myself.
I prefer no seat at all. I like a Tennessee handle.

A slim Tennessee handle or A Fuji SK, Pac Bay Minnima. The desire for a slim TN handle is what is going to drive me to start building rods this winter I do believe.
Have a pick of the up locking aero
I have big hands and dont think I'd like the metal touching my palm on every cast.
