    1995 195 200hp merc opti JACKPLATE QUESTION

    It has a 14 inch j/p on it now I think its to big .What size would recomend

    running a 25p tempest 67 -68 top speed . But it back washes pretty bad. And you have to really drive it.

    14 inches you would have to be super high prop to pad that’s along way back there ,a 6-8 inch would be a better all around plate.The opti is heavy and you may still get some back wash on the 195 with a plate.
