1980 yes, 1880 no. I want at least a 150. I have to build a set back on my garage for a 2080 and I think that's the route I'm going

Wish I could. Gotta wait till the new year at the earliest, lot of variables at the office right now and waiting to see how it all pans out (could have more expenses or less expenses). I get on the website at least once a day and drool a little bit though!

I just took a demo ride in the 2080. I loved it. It does not ride like a aluminum boat. Or not one I have ever been in. It’s very stable when you are on the front deck. Tons of room in it. My only issue is I wish they would have rated it for a 225hp. It would have really been a tournament ready boat. Down here on lake Conroe if you can’t run at least 74 to 75 mph you might as well give up getting to your spot first. Lol

Just put a 225 on it anyway. When was the last time a game warden has checked to see if your boat was over powered by the manufacturers rating plate?

Change the decals, you'd be surprised how many people fishing tournaments are running 300's with 250 decals. Why is that Ranger so fast .... I thought they were slow?

You would have to remove the serial number on the transom plate, if its like my verado it has the hp in the serial number. Mine has a 350 in it.

I know Vexus has heard the horsepower thing too much, but it looks like that’s 99% of all the complaints I’ve heard on the 2080. I still think it has a lot to do with liability.

Yes, I believe Vexus wants a very responsive, very fishable bass boat that will be a great value versus a similar sized glass boat. What they have no interest in (IMHO) is to have the fastest boat or even the fastest aluminum boat. Who here doesn’t know that guy that had or still has the fastest bass boat and yet tells the story of going air-born over a big wave he didn’t see and landed underneath the boat and swam out from under it.

I have an advantage of being on the water as a wildlife officer for 30 years and know several of those guys. I believe if “that guy” in the future pushes his Vexus AVX to the limit on speed he will be risking getting airborne easier than he may realize. The boat is much lighter than a comparable length glass boat with a few exceptions, and I have already experienced a little air just running 56mph. It scares me to think of the the AVX2080 going 74+mph. But, what do I know.

Thank you for the report. A 2080 is what I'm leaning toward and this is exactly the kind of info I was hoping to read on here. Someone out of a fiberglass boat in the 2080

    I don't get it either

And 53,480 is probably not the OTD price.

The Vexus trolls are out again I see. If you don't like Vexus, move on. For me and many of the people I know, I would never own a glass boat, absolute zero interest. There are some awesome glass boats out there........just none that I would buy. However, I wanted a top shelf aluminum boat, hence why I bought a Vexus. If I want to get into 15" of water and bump stumps without concern or make a run down the river with a ride very comparable to a glass boat..........I can with my 1980. It is truly the total package boat. I will be stepping up to a 2080 at the end of the year.......without hesitation.
