I remember being invited to a tournament back in the late 1980’s in January, on a Saturday.
It seemed like you had every club in the area have a tournament there in January.
There were so many people fishing it that you had to wait for the next boat to move to the next dock to move.
At the same time some people would catch some pigs back then.

I still remember the billboards they had back in the early 90’s promoting it as a trophy lake.

Largest bass I ever caught out of that lake was 5lb 2 oz off the last dock before the grass flats by the light house on a lunker lure in 1991.
Back then you had beautiful grass around the lake and huge Lilly pads on the South Flats.
The lake had its moments back then.

The last time I went in the summer and used the False River worm I caught some quality bass just working the docks.
It is slow but I see it coming back.
