xpress H20 Bay with a Yamaha VF115 Vmax SHO waterpressure gauge?

I am looking to install a water pressure gauge for my Yamaha VF115 VMAX SHO motor.

Does anybody know where in the block I need to install either a sensor for an electrical gauge or a hose bard fitting for a water pressure gauge?

if you know what size is the sensor or hose barb fitting used.

    Thanks
    Jeff

First off, I’m a boat owner who simply added Command Link gauges to my boat, twice. I am not a marine mechanic and you should confirm what I’m telling you with someone more qualified.

The fitting circled in red is the sensor for water pressure, green is the transducer for the speedometer.

You likely have a bolt in place of the pressure transducer, remove it and SAVE it.

If you have Command Link gauges, buy this for a mere $174, plug it in and your gauges will display water pressure:

If you have regular analog gauges, buy and install this:

    Hose kit - $30 https://www.simyamaha.com/Yamaha_Wat...3667-00-00.htm

    and

    Analog Gauge - $90 https://www.simyamaha.com/Yamaha_Wat...3660-10-00.htm

BEFORE you buy anything, at least call SIM, tell them what you have, tell them what you want, and they will guide you as to what versions of these parts will work.

    thyNemisis,

I am a Tech and I work on Xpress and Yamaha on a daily basis. basisByrdmen is correct either of those will work. The sensor will definitely be the better decision due that sometimes the tubes can clog up or get pinched but is an easy fix if it happens. If you have any question feel free to shoot me a message.
