    Skeeter ZX200

I am considering buying a new boat. I currently have a Triton but I am weighing all my options. How fast will the Skeeter ZX200's run? Is the ride smooth? I've never ridden in a Skeeter.

    Thanks in advance.

I hear there's a ZX200 at my club that will run 83 flashed. I have a Phoenix 819, similar specs, like the ZX compartment and deck layout better. I don't like the huge front center compartment and the huge front deck. Fish alone a lot.

I have a 2018 ZX200. When I first got the boat I got around 67-68 with all stock settings. With the way the boat was setup I had issues with the way it handled, especially in rough water. I lowered the jack plate one dot which helped. Lost a little speed at WOT but not much. I can never get more than 13-14lbs water pressure so I may lower the jack plate a little more this fall. Over all my boat has a good ride except for the bouncing up and down in waves which again I believe is due to the engine height. Everything else about the boat is great! Pay very much attention to the trailer if you buy a new one. I hate my trailer!

I wish they would put the FX trailer under the ZX. Looks sharp.

I went from a Triton to a Skeeter and now a Bass Cat. My Skeeter was a little slower then the Triton, but the Skeeter's ride was smoother with no chine walk. Both are great boats. I don't have anything bad to say with my experience with my Triton or Skeeter.

2010 200ZX. Runs 62/63 at 3000ft elevation and 65 at sea level. No creaks, no cracks and rides great, zero chine walk. You can run that boat wide open with your hands in your lap. I’d buy another one without hesitation.

Owned 2 and enjoyed them...unless you are on the Great Lakes they are big enough and fast enough...
souped up one that did 74.4gps...turned a 27 pitch 5,700...about 15 years ago...
now with ECU bumps, they could really run past most boats with a 250...

I have a 16 it runs about 68 with 2 people 70 with just me. Drives like a sports car, rides good and a dry ride also.

Have a 2013 model and it performs well. If Inhad the budget, I would have went 225 or 250. Over all, I am not disappointed and it has handled big water well and fished comfortably. Good luck.

I have an 08 ZX200. It’s been a great boat runs 64-65 two people tournament load. It’s a great fishing platform rock solid in the water. Ride is good I’ve been out on some big water in it. Was on St. Clair this spring with 25-30mph winds coming out of the east and handled it fine.

Great all around boat. Not the fastest hull but smooth and you don't need to drive it. If you are worried about top speed get a zx225

I have a 2002 zx200...great boat, very stable. I'm on the St. Lawrence River...lots of boat traffic and rough water, but this boat at 16 years old has absolutely NO gelcoat cracks anywhere on it, and everything is original and working (except I just blew the 2001 0X-66 Vmax so am looking now for a VMAX SHO).
