Yamaha Digital Multifunction Tachometer - 6Y5-8350T-D0-00

I have a 98 Yamaha Vmax 200 ox66 my current tach is acting up. I can't find a model # on the tach, so I was wondering if I could use this tach?

    Yes.

But keep in mind you have either an HPDI or an OX66. Different designs. But the tachometer you mention will work with either.

Let us know how it goes hooking up the tach , how difficult the wiring was and how it works.

If you get any pictures that would be great .

What are all the functions this gauge can perform ?

in the same situation and it might be time to dump the old analog gauge.

    thanks

The wiring was pretty simple. This one has the tach oil gauge and couple other things. It was like 5 or 6 wires that are color coded and a wiring connection.

That sounds very easy to hook up.

Thanks for your take on how the install went .

I have read its a simple dip switch on the back of the guage. Just needs to be reset.
