I really like my Ardent Elite 6:5 for throwing Warts. It handles them extremely well, and is a very smooth reel.

For regular size warts and bandit 100, 200, and 300, I use a Gen4 Revo SX. I'm sure the Premier or STX would work as well. 6.3:1 gear ratio.

For the Mag Wart I use a Revo Winch. Over 11 years old and it still feels new.

Anything in a slow to mid range retrieve. Ideally brass gears and an aluminum frame. Something Daiwa or Shimano if it was my reel.

    Chronarch D5, Curado/Chronarch E5.

Ebay has the BB1 Pro and Curado K for 135-140. Any comparison between the 2? Better braking system?

When the water is still 50 degrees or so I like something in the 5:1 range . As it warms up I go to a 6 something :1.
I'm not a Lews guy so of those 2 choices I would go with the Curado.

Here in the Ozarks Wiggle Wart and Rock Krawler is a go to, I'm using a 6.2 Curado K on a the new Curado rod and love it. I also have a Calais 5.8 on a 7' Falcon Cara crankbait rod that performs well also.

I would be more worried about the right rod and line then the reel. Pick your favorite reel brand and find something in the 5 to low 6 ratios.

Abu Record 40, super-tuned, dual ball bearing level wind and dual ball bearing cog gear. Same reel that I throw most of my shallow to medium crankbaits with.
