I have a 1880 with 135 and get 51mph with two people. So I would agree with above as mid 40’s is prolly gonna be you. Also I love what you did with getting original post back on track. I did have an issue with my boat and VEXUS corrected it promptly. I have ZERO complaints about my purchase.

It was with the paint on the bottom of boat. They replaced the hull rather than repainting it. So my thoughts are they do what is right. Like I stated before I am well pleased with my purchase.

Yes, 23 tempest plus. I have found weight does make a pretty significant difference

Nope none of the above just more gear and full rod box does better in a little choppy water but no big deal still love the boat

I would expect 51 mph to be possible with the 1880 and a 115 on a really optimized set up. I used to routinely hit 51 with a Triton V176Mag and a 90 Opti (lighter hull but still a pad style). This Vexus is certainly a looker.

Regardless of brand, not just because it is a Vexus, 50+ on a 115 in general is rollin along pretty good for that size of boat/motor. In all reality, you aren't seeing or maybe I am not current, that many 1880's w/ a 115 consistently running 50+.

Great to see that they took care of you as they have many other owners. While I haven't had any major issues, all of my emails/calls were answered and Vexus took care of my issues directly. My dealer is 5 hours away, so it is easier to just reach out to Vexus for things I can address myself. I too have zero have regrets in my purchase and very pleased with my boat. The positive far outweighs the negative. Without hesitation, I will buy a Vexus again.....actually this spring. Time for a 2080.

Ok guys I have a question about the avx 1980. What speed can one expect with a mercury 150 four stroke or would it be worth the extra to get the 150 pro xs four stroke.

I have a 1980 with the regular Merc 150 and with 2 adults my two kids half a tank of fuel and all our gear and tackle I see 57 to 58. There is no doubt that I can get in the 60’s with a light load

Does anyone know if Vexus has a 250 hp rated aluminium model in the works?
