If it was me I'd go with what I've got from Crowley, they are one of the largest suppliers out there and are a BRP authorized service center. I stopped by there years ago while I was out in Denver for some training and was impressed. This was pre-bankruptcy days.

You're probably right. I did send them an email asking for clarification. We'll see what they say.

Still waiting to hear from Crowley. The Goodyear Flexshield is cheap compared to what I got from Crowley.

3/8" GOODYEAR FLEXSHIELD NON-WIRE SAE J1527 TYPE A1-15 FUEL LINE . I found this for $1.74 a foot! The 0772576 line I got from Crowley was $5 a foot. Strange? I wonder why the Goodyear stuff is so much less. Have any of you guys actually used it?

Crowley has assured me that they only carry genuine Evinrude parts but they are having a hard time confirming the part number on the line they sent to me that is supposed to be the A1 line. They are waiting for some new line from Evinrude. I’m surprised the lines from Evinrude don’t have the USCG markings on them.

When the EPA enacted the permability rules for all new boats and motors, the " -15 " on the hose numbers more than doubled the price per foot. Your Goodyear hose may be mismarked or still at the old price. I would jump on that price if it is valid. Even the small hoses used on the outboard powerheads jumped in price significantly. What used to be a couple of dollars for a special short hose is now $8-10 apiece due to the unelected officials in the EPA

Still working on this. I used some Delrin stock to make a bracket that would allow me to move the Racor filter over to the starboard side away from the batteries. Should be a lot safer now and I can still use the sight bowl below the filter if I wish. I didn't realize the previous location above the batteries was a bad idea. Thanks, everyone, for all of your help on this. Still waiting on Crowley regarding their fuel line. I did go ahead and order some of the Goodyear product. Anxious to see what it looks like.

    This is the 3/8" A1-15 line from Goodyear. It's marked 2016 and has a .75" O.D.

How much was that per foot? the last time I installed new fuel lines on a V-6 motor with BRP fuel line there was a grey inner liner.

50 feet at 1.74 per foot. I think it was 2.50 per foot if ordering less than 50 feet

    The price seemed awfully good.

Too good, maybe? Is the black liner disqualifying. There’s really no way for me to know for sure. You know I never try to do anything on the cheap. I just want the right stuff.

Crowley has sent me a replacement for the line they originally sent me. I’m waiting to see what it looks like.

    Gonna try posting here again...

This is the replacement A1-15 hose Crowley sent. I’m beginning to think Evinrude doesn’t have an A1 line. 772576 is supposedly discontinued.

Lawrence Marine Novaflex360-09. Nitrile thermoplastic laminate core. Stamped with all the appropriate USCG markings. It is about the same OD as B1 line... not 3/4” like the Contitech Flexshield

Both are Goodyear products. The core of the Flexshield is thicker and is Nitrile.

I had already run the Flexshield from the auxiliary tank so I have left it for now.
I used the Novaflex from the main tank straight to the Racor and then through the rigging hose to the motor

And I set it up for a on the water vacuum and bubble test.

I plumbed in the optional flushing kit while I was at it. It ran good on the hose. No leaks

I’m hoping both hoses are fine. Just wish I could find an OEM hose. I would feel better. Strange that this hasn’t come up before.

Either way, it’s a good thing that I did this. I found some things that were problematic. The hose on the auxiliary tank was a B1 hose and it was loose at the tank connection and all of the hose connections on the tank selector valve were loose. I suspect it was sucking a little bit of air. My original vacuum/bubble test had some questionable results.
