    Ultrex on a 2010 ZX225- 45 or 52”

Ok guys, I need input. I have a 2010 ZX225 and currently have a 45” Fortrex on the front. I find it doesn’t take much to get it popping up out of the water on windy days on big water. Thinking about an Ultrex but not sure if I should stick with a 45 or go to a 52. Anyone have any good thoughts on this? Just feel like my boat sits really nose high.

If you fish fish any kind of big water then you need the 52”. Spot lock is useless if it’s coming out of the water all the time. With the Skeeter being so heavy in the rear I would highly recommend a 52

I fish lakes and the 52 will be my choice. Darn Wake boats will blow my
45 out of the water every time.

i debated whether or not to go 45 or 52. I'm very glad that I went 52. I had the 52 fortrex, and I dont regret staying with the 52 when I switched over. Ive had a couple occasions now that the 45 would have probably been a little short for the water I was fishing with the winds that we had to fight.

Thanks for all the feedback. Sounds like 52” will be the right choice.

Got the new ultras 52” on the boat and it is great. Thanks to Brian at BBG for the help. Fast delivery! Can’t wait to try it out at the TBF National Semi Final next weekend!
