No offense but your mechanic doesn't seem to be doing you any favors

Spent a couple of hours on it yesterday, went through the carbs again and adjusted them, have it running well at the dock but unable to go for a test ride as a new problem cropped up - power tilt cylinder leaking and motor won't tilt. Where I boat power tilt and trim is a must have.
Pulled it, got the tilt ram disconnected (that took some heat), and ordered new seal kit. I'll do that job and then we can finish up the test running on the water.

Just to round it out, I was able to reseal the tilt ram and cylinder, and it's working well. Finally got a chance to try the boat in the water today, and she is running great at all RPMs. Sticking with the carb adjustments was the trick until she smoothed out. Now hopefully we can catch up on some Fall striped bass fishing.
