    Max hp on a 95 stroker?

    Looking at a 95 stroker but i want to hang a 300xs on it. No coast guard tag.

    Unlimited hp but on the wood transom it’s recommended not to use 16” of setback. It’s also recommended to have the third knee brace added for the weight of a 3 liter motor.

    On mine I only have 10” of setback and it has the 3rd knee brace. I was told not put much more set back on it also, it’s fine with me though, it does all I want it to right now. Lol

    What year did they stopped putting wood in the transom and what does a good glass shop, charge to add the 3rd knee brace ?

    Mid year 98 they went to composite in the transom.
