    Spare tire hold down j bolt

    Some methhead took my spare tire and didn’t even have the decency to leave me the J bolt. I’m pretty sure it was 1/2”-20 by 6” because it held a lug nut. I can only find 1/2-13. Anyone know where I can find the correct j bolt?

    It will absolutely work but I bought a lug nut lock that has a tapered seat for a lug nut simply wanted the 1/2-20 unless you know of tapered 13 tpi nuts.

    McMaster Carr sells 1/2"-20 all-thread stainless rod. Bend a hook in it and voila!

    Thanks gentlemen. Ended up buying the hook from etrailer along with the new rim and tire, with a M12 lug nut.
