Javelin Renegade 20 stup and prop???

I just bought a 2000 20' Renegade Javelin with a 225 HP Johnson HO motor. The motor runs great with 120 lb compression across all cylinders. It has a 13 1/2 x 27" 4 blade renegade bass stainless prop on it. When I go to get up on plane it squats in the water and runs at 2000 RPM's with the bow high. If I put a person up on the front deck it eventually gets on plane and runs at about 4000 RPM's before trimming up. Am I over propped or is there another issue????

Sounds like your have a cylinder not firing. How many rpm's will it turn at WOT now? You should able to turn that 27 Renegade close to 6000
