Looks like a classic case of short stopping the trailer on the ramp and the attempted goosing of the boat fell just a bit short.
He posted a video on Facebook of what happened.

Boat stays strapped till the ass is in the water and the truck never moves up the ramp during pullout until the bow strap and safety chain are hooked. Takes an extra 10 seconds, not worth it not to.

I'd have never thought a truck could accelerate hard enough to slide a large boat like that off a bunk trailer.
I'm betting there is more than 1 set of skid marks at this scene.

Must have been fun getting the boat back on the trailer.....
New way to fish a roadbed---just waiting on the water to rise to be the first one there.
Ive seen several boats dropped on the ramp, but never on the road.

A million years ago, first time out with my first bass boat a Ranger 175A I unhooked the bow strap just like I had always done with my small semivee boat. Boat slid completely off the trailer on the ramp. What made it worse is the transmission pawl broke and the truck was locked in park. Even after a million years I still remember it. In the grand scheme of my life that doesn't rank very high on the bad day list.
Real LOW Tide and not the kind from Bama.
After that happening I would not be able to concentrate on fishing that same day.
