It’s a small lake or more like a large pond that was just re-opened in teh last few years. I’ve not had a chance to fish it yet, but I’ve heard from some of the local meat fishermen that it has a fair population of crappie. It’s located over by Eastern State Hospital, not sure if there’s a size or motor restriction, but looks like a good lake to explore in your yak.

We caught fish down in the lake last trip over. It was odd not to catch at least little fish up the creek but now I know why doubt it was enough to hurt much.

I haven't been on Konawa in 20 years how's the fishing since they don't generate on a regular basis?

Since you asked, I checked in over on Bass Zone just to see what the Wednesday night jackpot did. The last one was posted 11 days ago and 1st weighed 9.4 with big bass being 3.14. The comment was about how hot and muggy it was and fishing was tough for everyone. However, I've seen some of those evening 3 bass jackpots take close to 18 or 20#. I've never caught anything all that big there...3 or 4 pounds would be tops for me there. We were out there one day and heard the guys in the boat across the creek arm whooping and hollering. We met up at the ramp and he showed us a picture of the 10+ pounder the caught.

I do better there before it gets all grassed up. The last time I was there was in July (that's where my TM broke) it was thick. All that grass messes with my head. I prefer the rocks on Arbuckle. Konawa is a good place to go in the summer. I doesn't get very much pleasure boat or seadoo traffic at all...even on weekends.

There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.

It is on my fall list or maybe this Sunday. It gets weedy on the east end late summer. Good rat water early and late.

Anybody ever fish Ardmore City lake? I've heard some stories about it. If I get that close to Ardmore, I go on to Murray.
