    Info needed on 2004 TR-21x

I'm looking at buying a 2004 TR-21X with very low hours and a Merc Racing 250XS on the back. Pictures make it out to be showroom quality. Just wanting to see if y'all could provide me with some information on this boat, any issues that I should be aware of, pro's and con's of this model boat and anything else anyone might think I would like to know.

Also, I'm looking at purchasing it without any electronics or trolling motor. NADA has it valued at around 17000 base price. Is this accurate? I have looked for comparables and it seems most are selling for 22-26k depending on what accessories the boat has.

Thanks for any and all info.

    I have a 2005 TR21X and I really like it. I have had it for 8.5 years.

Suggest you take it to a mechanic and have it checked out. It will be worth the money you spend.

Had mine for 12 years. Nothing I don't like about it. Push button dash gets a bad rap but mine is still original and everything still works. Good gel with very few stress cracks. Got it with a stock 225 Opti and could just touch 70 on a good day. Repowered with a 250 Pro XS and have hit 78. It will chine on you and if you aren't ready for it, it will scare you. Mine took about 4-5 months to get really comfortable in. Now I don't even notice. But man that first time at around 65 wifey and I both turned pale and thought about selling it!

I have a 2004 TR21X dual console I bought new, it came single and with a 225HO. Over time and necessity I went to the 250HO when it came out. I built a separate garage for it and the hauler and for a 14.5 yr old boat people still say "nice rig". I am happy with everything about my rig and will put another engine on it if necessary and try not to let the electronics get to old. Have HDS 10 and 8 with side imaging no poles and an 82# tour. I just wish I'd run across a TRX22 with a 300 before this. This is my last "boat" purchase.
