That yankee author was probably the bad driver himself, blamed it on the south, and trying to get even.

I am going to argue they made an error. Missouri has to be number one.

When I visit my dad in Tupelo he always tells me dont worry we dont have State Troppers like Arkansas. When I get out of Memphis on I-22 if you're not doing 85 you're being passed like you're sitting still. They also have signs saying that if you're not passing in the left lane you will get a ticket.

This. Left lane all day, usually at 5 mph under the speed limit unless driving next to someone going 10 under (then they'll go 10 under to stay next to them) or someone tries to get around them on the right (they'll go as fast as is necessary to avoid being passed). I just don't get it.

Here in Houston people like to slow traffic down on purpose because they think it’s their duty.

Depends on where you live who the worst drivers are, I guess. In my area you get Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma drivers.
    Ranked in order of Worse-Ness:
    1. Oklahoma
    2. Louisiana
    3. Arkansas (tie)
    3. Texas (tie)
But, honestly there are just some plain shitty drivers out there. Their home state has no bearing on it most the time.
