    MY NEW 2019 Z20 WITH 4 STROKE 250

Picked up my new 2019 Z20 a few weeks ago from Pro's Choice Marine. This is a whole new beast. I traded in my 2018 Z20 for this one and it was well worth it. This is the first 2019 Z20 off the line! If you haven't ridden in one, I highly suggest doing so. GREAT boat and the hull is improved even over the 2018s!

Wow! That looks slick! Is the all black hard to clean up after use?

What hull changes account for the improvements between '18 and '19?

Holeshot is much better! Top end is about the same. The motor really shines in acceleration from like 30 to 50 or 40 to 70. Also, fuel consumption is less as well compared to the 2 stroke.

Its not that bad. I wipe it down after each use, just like I did with my white hulls. Look at it like this. The white hulls are going to show a lot of dock marks and the black hulls will show more of the scratches. Either way, Im just happy to be out on the water.

Its not bad at all if you know the right dealer to use. Add that into the savings with the new 4 stroke with fuel efficiency, oil consumption and maintenance, Ill come out ahead in the long run.

The hull is a lot smoother ride than the 2018. 1" narrower deck, however, the ride improvement is worth it. The bow lifts higher and the control is much tighter. Also, the bite of the new 4 stroke is crazy on acceleration on holeshot and on hard turns. The porpoising issue seen in some of the first Z20s is also rectified with the new design.

From some pictures I saw.. looks like the center front storage box is smaller than previous years. Is that true?

Correct. The center box is slightly narrower and is set up inside like the Z19s. The layout is great though. I get just as much in there as I did in my 2018. With that said, the rod boxes are slightly larger as well. Only drawback is the fact that the center box is glassed in now instead of being open up front to the bow. I liked having that extra space there for extra life vests, etc.

One other update they did, which is excellent is the center seat and ease of removal, but also a built in, glassed in box. I have a extensive video of the layout and changes and everything on the Nitro Bass Boat Owners facebook page.

Here is the comparison between the 2016-2018 and the 2019 front deck compartment layout/size.

How much less fuel does it burn? How are you making the comparison? I have traded twice in the past year and might have to make it three times if I can get some good information. You are really running a different boat based on all the changes they made for 2019 on the Z20. Great looking boat.

Well id have to say it probably makes getting rods in and out of the lockers easier, but not sure if I like that they eliminated the space inside the center box that extends up under the deck. Did they also do away with the Southco latches too for 2019?

I have the z21 with the 250 and I made about a 40 mile run in mine a d used roughly about 1/4 tank of fuel. In comparison that same run with my optimax used to take right at 3/4 tank.
